Cyclist, old car and palm trees

Cuba is an increasingly popular holiday destination and it's easy to see why. The music, beaches, old cars, striking architecture and revolutionary history all combine to make Cuba the perfect cycling destination. Riding through this lush island you will experience the warmth and exuberance of its people. This relaxed Cuba cycling holiday takes in all the 'must see' places that Cuba is famous for: the crumbling colonial buildings of Havana, the music of Trinidad and the revolutionary history of Santiago. Away from the coastal resorts, visitors are very much in the minority, so you can gain a genuine insight into the way of life while cycling around this beautiful island. Passing through stunning countryside with a patchwork of plantations, tobacco farms, fields and jungle, we are able to appreciate the traditional way of life that continues today. After a day of cycling in Cuba, you'll no doubt welcome the island’s speciality drink - a refreshing mojito!

What makes this trip responsible?

Over the years we have got to know a number of local families who provide water, fruit and refreshment stops en route. This is a good way of providing much needed money directly to local people, as well as fostering a greater understanding of rural life in Cuba. On this trip we also make an effort to support small, family run restaurants known as Paladares. This helps to support local people and gives an insight into the realities of Cuban life where food rationing is prevalent.

Internal Flights in Cuba

We don’t use internal flights in Cuba, as we don’t believe that they are safe, necessary or environmentally sound. For more information, please read our Cuba Flights page.
