Over the years Dobbiaco has become our most popular centre - and justifiably so. This charming town, set at 1200m amid the unique scenery of the Dolomites in the Alta Pusteria region, is ideally surrounded by an impressive network of cross-country tracks. Valleys and villages are extremely well connected by public transport, which gives the flexibility to choose different routes every day. Many kilometres of easy track skiing along the wide valley floor make this a great destination for beginners. A little more challenging is the track that leads south to Cortina d'Ampezzo, a memorable route that passes under the triple rock buttresses of the imposing Tre Cime di Lavaredo. The Sexten and Prags valleys offer a choice of undulating routes in typical Dolomites scenery and the high Plaetzwiese Plateau also offers superb routes at about 2000m. We return each evening to the welcoming hospitality of the Tschurtschenthaler family and picturesque Dobbiaco, where we can gaze at the famous jagged peaks of northeast Italy.
