- One of the best known and oldest races
- Comfortable, good value accommodation

The Norwegian Birkebeiner is one of the oldest and most popular races on the Worldloppet calendar. A 54km classic technique race between Rena and Lillehammer, it celebrates the heroic journey of the Birkebeiner skiers to save the heir to the throne in 1206. As a result, all competitors must carry a backpack weighing at least 3.5kg - to represent the infant king. The trip is led by Eric Woolley, an English Ski Council Coach/Tutor. Our friendly accommodation is conveniently located in Nordseter, with easy access to trails leading down to the famous Birkebeiner loipe. Practice and tuition will be given to ensure the best possible experience on race day.
