Snowshoeing: Ramsau

Normally known for the quality of its cross-country skiing trails, Ramsau and the Dachstein plateau are also a great destination for snowshoeing. Nestled within this little town and in the surrounding mountains are numerous winding snowshoe trails just waiting to be explored. Each day we strap on our snowshoes and follow our guide through sparkling snowy forests and alpine pastures, taking in the best of the scenery before heading back to relax in our hotel. Ramsau is beautifully framed by the Dachstein mountain range to the north and the Schladming Tauern to the south, forming an impressive backdrop to the week as we enjoy the trails and perhaps the odd coffee and cake stop along the way too!
