Fascinating culture, thick rainforest, glittering salt lakes and the high Andes

Bolivia is a country of incredible contrasts, remarkable scenery and diverse indigenous cultures. Within its borders it includes a huge variety of ecosystems, ranging from the impenetrable Amazon Rainforest and the sparkling waters of Lake Titicaca to the otherworldly landscapes of the world's largest salt lake.
The high Andes, the islands of Titicaca and the vast plains of the altiplano offer great opportunities to meet the country's many indigenous groups, and we get a glimpse of how traditional culture has mixed with the modern world in the melting pot of La Paz.
We visit a silver mine in beautiful colonial Potosi, and experience a night in a remote village on the edge of the glistening Salar de Uyuni. In complete contrast, we spend two nights in a community-run lodge deep in the rainforest where our Amerindian guides show us the amazing flora and unique fauna.
