Winter Activity Holidays in Poland
Poland is a destination usually hailed for its cultural heritage, however, its southern borders lay claim to fabulous mountain ranges. From January through to early March the temperatures sit around 5° to -15°C and turn this area into the perfect winter wonderland. Due to the fantastic winter climate Polish mountain resorts have grown in popularity and recognition in recent years. Coupled with the picturesque wooden houses, hot, sweet wine and warming stews, Poland has become an ideal winter destination.
The snow coupled with the beautiful mountains make this region a perfect snowshoeing destination. We make the most of this by taking you to the beautiful and more remote Beskidy and Pieniny mountain ranges. This takes us away from the bustle of the busier resorts and allows us to explore, in relative isolation, the true beauty of this area. The terrain and trails are varied offering a fulfilling week of diverse snowshoeing.
To complement the fantastic winter resorts, Poland also has a rich culture and there is plenty of opportunity to explore this in the city of Krakow. This is a city that unites old and new. You can take time to explore the fabulous churches, stroll around the old Jewish quarter or have coffee in one of the chic cafes.
